A challenge Tag

I took a challenge on a group site and this is what I came up with. You were to use Distress ink for the background and then decorate it. Of course I painted mine with a flower and butterfly.  Then popped up the butterfly and flower with a pop dot for a 3D effect. To do the background you take a pad of distress ink and swipe it across it a waterproof surface and then spray with water and lay your tag into the ink and water, continue until you get the effect/background you want. Be sure to dry between layers if you want a darker background. I am really into butterflies right now and they just make me feel good. Here is my tag.

Watercolor and the Superbowl

I was watching the Superbowl and Indy did an awesome job hosting it. Glad I had the pleasure of being in Indy to enjoy some of the events. As I was saying I was watching the Superbowl and decided I would paint a watercolor painting and I am waiting for Spring so here is a painting of the first signs of Spring.  A Robin and her eggs. Felt good to paint.
Spring is on its way!

Some Challenges

Decided I would join a few challenges this month. First one was steampunk tags, second one was a Vintage Valentine, lastly was a stamp of a face an what you can do with it.
I found a new love this week too, cream chalks is it! I used it to make my vintage valentine to add the color to the angel's wings, flowers, face. Decided that steam punk is really not my thing, didn't have anything much around the house to make it, I did the best that I could. Lastly really enjoyed making my stamp face with added texture of gesso and then pressed into one of my cuddlebug embossing folders to make her hair. Added alittle of feathers boa and she was ready to go. Enjoy!
